How do the British teach American Revolution?
I teach 10th grade United States History and I am interested in how the American Revolution is taught in Britain. I would like to provide another perspective to my students.
I learnt about it at Junior school. British history focuses on British history, and the American War of Independence is not considered a major part of that (whether it is or not is another matter). We do, however, cover the 1932 presidential election, the New Deal and some exam boards offer courses on the American West.
