Puppy Boxer training?
I just purchased an 11 week old boxer girl. She is the best puppy ever. She hasnt barked in two days, all she wants to do is nap, and she seems like she is already most house broken. The only problem I see is she likes to bite, but I cannot tell if she is playing, or should I just not let her bite anything but her toys at a young age?
Also since she is so good, I think she might just be getting use to a new family and a new house. Do you think I am in for big trouble? Any training tips or sites are also apperciated. I need leash training and basics such as sit and stay.
At 11 weeks she is play biting - the teeth are like needles and it really hurts LOL.
The best way to try and deal with it is to YELP loudly and turn away from her everytime she does it.
This exactly what her mum and litter mates would have done. She will understand this behaviour.
Training classes and lots of exercise will help as well.
Enjoy her puppy-hood - it doesn't last long!
