Housebreaking Boxer Puppy Q&A

new puppy advise........?

We just adopted a 9 week old puppy from a Puppy rescue. Our best guess as to a breed is a boxer/ yellow lab. This is the first dog I have ever trained by myself. Any hints, tips or pointers for me about obedience training and/or housebreaking?
Thanks!

Housebreaking Boxer Puppy Q&A

Tips for raising a puppy?

I just got an 12 weeks old female boxer puppy named Daisy. I, for the first time their young, (I've had dogs, but always took care of my parents) Any advice on housebreaking, sleeping arrangements, leaving the way to work, etc?

These are just some of the resources I've found to be useful ... One thing to remember, a lot of people out there have a lot of tips on what to do. If something does not seem reasonable to you ... then do not do (ie: what to feed your dog, teach them, etc..) Take the advice you want to use and just say "thanks for the suggestion" ... because seriously, all telling you what to do ... http://www.seattlehumane.org/services http://www.wagntrain.com/TrainingTips.htm / dog-advice/puppies http://www.loveyourdog.com/ Some tips I have: Burglary: No accident ... there simply is not out of it. Just be sure to take your puppy outside frequently and generally routine ... as the first time you get up, when you leave for work (I have a neighbor who control my puppy noon), when you get home, after eating "Dinner", and before going to bed. Sometimes, mine goes in the middle of the night too. Just try to get the outside at the same time every day. After eating a good time too, because eating get "things" moving in her womb and she has to go. Every day say "go the bathroom "or other command like:" Well, it's time "," Better go now, "something she knows that now is the time of writing. Arrangements sleeping me my pup crate overnight. When its time to go to bed I say "Come to bed" and she runs to her crate and waits for me to get there I give a little training and try to close the door. Sometimes they complain but do not give in (unless you know you probably have to go to the bathroom). Before I had my puppy never packed (as if she is my first foal, I have had dogs w / my parents before.) I box, so that at night I have the peace of mind that is safe and not to chew something it shouldn't. =) EDIT: The box is next to my bed too. Leaving it when you go to work is the home of Mines for 7-8hrs a day ... I have my check in neighbor, even at midday. Your dog will be fine, but if not checks. She is "locked" in our kitchen again, I know she isn't enter any thing she shouldn't during the day. She has food and water and give him some toys (her favorite is a kong with peanut butter in it) ... NEVER give a rawhide when they arent around ... could be softened and can drown in it. I just let them have if I'm around. Anyway ... I finished writing this novel. I really like the name Daisy ... Good luck with your new baby! EDIT!: I just found these too ... http://www.proplan.com/expertAdvice/puppies/articles/necessities.html http://www.proplan.com/media/dog/DogKit.pdf (This second one has a lot of advice if you click the other "puppy" links)
