How do I train my dog to not bark as much?
I have a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix and he barks non-stop. I would like to know some techniques to get him to not bark as much.
And no I will NOT have his voice-box removed, I'm against that!
This breed likes to be busy. In fact, he must be busy or he becomes bored, which leads to annoying behavior, such as barking, digging, or chasing cars. The Border Collie is a herding dog, which means he has an overwhelming urge to gather a flock. That flock could be sheep, children, cats, squirrels, or anything that moves, including cars. This instinct to nip, nudge, and bark, along with his energy, cannot be trained out of him. Rather, it must be directed. He must have a task, whether it's actually herding sheep or competing in dog sports. You could give him an exercise or a game to make him busy.

how do you potty train a puppy? only he has and he has peed and pooped in the house and .. that is 14 weeks. is blue heeler mixed with cocker spaniel and Austrailian Sheepdog. What are some good suggestians you must have taught your puppy dog? please help.
If you catch the puppy in the act of covering one's relief, to quarrel with a vigorous "No!" and take it outdoors at a time. Never punish your puppy by hitting a finger --- index up and the word acute enough. If you do not find the "little accident" until later, there is no sense disturbance in the puppy, not I understand their displeasure.
