How do I train my dog to follow commands?
I need help with my Saint Bernard. She barks at every little thing she sees and hears, doesn't listen to any commands (sometimes sit), sneaks out of our bedroom at night and eats out of the litter boxes and eats all the cats food and water. I have put a lock on my bedroom door to keep her in and it is working so far but this is crazy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
The cat food is as high as it goes. Our dog is VERY BIG and just uses her paws to get it. We tried baby gates but she either jumps them or simply hits them hard enough to knock it down or break it. Thank you for the tips!!
St. Bernards are BIG DOGS who needs lots of exercise, and playing and attention(all dogs needs lots of attention howeve) when he tries to eat cat waste put a spicy or citrus taste to it like put peppers on them or citrus juice because dogs hate that and for the cat food keep it in a high unreachable place.
Make sure your training the dog properly and excersising it are very important. Teach the dog watch me so he'll listen right away and watch you and show the dog leadership when training commands.

Can you make a rule that will only feed and walk the dog? If do it all the time no matter what the rest of the dogs life.
