Interesting Facts About Canada Alberta Q&A

university ........ oncology?

i am a high school student. and i wil graduate after 1 1/2 years from now. i am really interested in oncology.
my plans is to go for university for this field.
one of my choices is University of Alberta (canada) (the biggest choice i have since i am living in Alberta)
but i don't like the fact that i am going to this kind of university.
i always dreamed of going to a big university such as Oxford.
Always thinking and dreaming about it.
therefore my question is, if i want to go Oxford University, what is the requirements from me. Including the financial and educational side. is there any way of getting a loan or such a thing, or do i need to save money, if so, how much?.
its my understanding that its strict and hard, and i am willing to do my best at it.
if i went to UofA, what is the difference going to be. Is it really as bad as i am thinking ? (compared to Oxford)

Thank you , information from experienced person is appreciated.

Please, please, please don't get your hopes up regarding Oxford. It is VERY hard for foreign students to get admitted as undergrads there (and Cambridge as well), because it's a public university and UK students get first priority. If you rank as one of the top students in all of Canada then you may have a shot, but otherwise it's not realistic. You can always go there for grad school. Also, U of Alberta is a fine school and there are other renowned universities in Canada (such as Toronto, McGill, and UBC) that you could look into. Lastly, you specialize in oncology AFTER medical school which you complete after undergrad...so you have time.
