Is my dog sick?!?
I adopted this dog from a local humane society and she is a 3 year old daschund/jack russell terrier mix. She is in heat(I'm getting her fixed in 2 weeks) but I don't know if this has anything to do with the way she's been acting. She seems very sluggish and not energetic by no means. She was eating wet dog food for the first few days but today she hasn't eaten or drank any water. All she wants to do is sleep. And when she's in my room with me she never gets up unless I do. She don't even get up to tell me she needs to go to the bathroom. When we do go out to the bathroom all she does is urinate. I've had her now for 4-5 days and I've only seen her leave droppings twice. Is this what dogs do when they are in heat or is she sick? If anyone has any information it would be much appreciated. Thanks again..
Since she's in heat,she could be developing a pyometra,which is a uterine infection~ it's fatal if not treated.It could also be a urinary tract infection or other bacterial infection,or a virus.I would take her to the vet first thing tomorrow to be checked out.

Need information on Vezslas?
Well we had a Jack Russell terrier in little over a month and we love him we were thinking of getting a second dog to play with each other and tires was more than haveing to entertain us. So we have a fence in the yard ready to go from 2 to 3 walks a day and already have 5 jack russell one month old who loves to play with our neighbors and golden retriever pugs so if you have a vezsla going to play together and not be so hyper and active at home if they were outside for an hour or two and if we take them in as a morning walk and a walk at night? Also what is your opinion of Vezlas because we like active dogs also like to snuggle.
Vizsla 
You mean like all breeds, the Vizsla is not meant for everyone. They are an energetic breed, very intelligent, but prone to streaks of stubbornness. A dog Good lines can be "Birdy" and taken prisoner, and make a wonderful companion or sport hunting. The only thing I really would like to spotlight you should not have a dog just to entertain another dog. While I am not saying they are still a good piece of general information to throw out there. I personally wait a year or so before getting another dog. Get ERC formation is under control before adding new to the group
