Good labrador breeders in Texas?
My husband and I are looking for one yellow and one chocolate or brown lab puppies. Preferably around $700 or less each. We are having a hard time finding a breeder who has any puppies currently online. Do you know a good place? Thank you.

Well we dont want to breed them or anything. We just want a reputable breeder so we can get dogs that are healthy. Would they sell us two if they were the same sex?
Are you looking for well-bred dogs? Then http://www.thelabradorclub.com is where you need to start. But, you need to be aware that NO responsible breeder will sell two puppies to you at the same time. Most want at least 12 months, preferably 18 months, between puppies. I can't promise anything on price as most good breeders charge at LEAST $750 for their dogs, but perhaps you can find some exceptions.

Added: "Would they sell us two if they were the same sex?" Highly unlikely. There's a whole training and socialization problem that can occur when two littermates are raised together. I've never met an average dog owner who was happy with their decision to get littermates or two puppies. The dogs are usually out of control because they bond to each other, which makes training virtually impossible for the average owner. They care about impressing each other, not the owner.
This is aside from the whole work issue. Puppies are like newborns and the work of raising two puppies from 8-12 weeks old is unbelievably immense. Most folks barely make it through raising one, much less two.
