When the Labrador Retriever breeders say "blocky" what exactly do they mean?
I called my favorite local Labrador Retriever breeder today, and she was telling me about a certain liter, which was "blocky." she talked so much I didn't really get to ask exactly what it meant. I told her to put me one on hold, and anyway, I'd like to get an idea of what "blocky" is. Does it have anything to do with their snout? (nose, or whatever you'd call it on a dog) I've seen labs with more pushed in noses, and I've also seen them where they are more long. So, what "exactly" does this term, "blocky," mean?

Square with lots of bone as opposed to thin and pointy. Blocky can refer to the heads or the entire body. Usually show lines are refered to as blocky and field lines are usually more pointy with less bone.

Does anyone know of any legit site? AKC etc. In Southern California. Preferably, the 818. Need to find a reliable breeder.
