Large Dog Breed Q&A
Whats the best large breed dog to own?
We are trying to obtain two large breed dogs and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what to get. The dogs must be good with children and other dogs. Thanx.
Newfoundlands! They're amazing especially with the kids. My friend has one they've got 3 kids and a neighbor with down syndrome who loves to play with him. You have to get over the drooling but its easily wiped away with a rag or a simple game of tug-a-war with the rag. I don't think they brush him as often as they are supposed to and his hair doesn't really mat.

Of course those two are examples of Newfoundlands on petfinder because I don't really know where you live.

Y like a baby, not discovered the true personality of the dog until it approaches adulthood. Puppies require lots of time, need to be fed 3-4 times a day, kept in an enclosed space inside and let out a few hours to kill. The first weeks can be filled with sleepless nights as the confused puppy seeks accommodation and food. A puppy growth phase requires much supervision and training.
