Anyone seen or own a beagle like this?
Just curious I have a female tricolor beagle who is almost 2 years old. She's purebred, got on clearance at a petstore(don't ask) she does have papers listing her family's line and the breeders name & contact number, she was shipped from Iowa.
Anyway she looks different than most beagles do(like Uno for example), her snout is more pointed and she has big feet, not like basset hound feet but similar. I've heard of beagles like this they're called American beagles, they're basically non-show quality beagles mosty used for catching rabbits, the dogs more than likely originated and are bred in Southern states. (Info from a beagle book/magazine)
Anyone else seen or own a beagle that looks like this?
yea, my neighbors have one. its an american beagle.
