With this in mind, I mean, it seems as if there were a lot of people who insist on buying tiny puppies in the range of 2 pounds to 4. Also commonly known as a "teacup puppy." The word "cup of tea" been used to describe only the size of a puppy, which means it is very small and probably will be in the standard size is 4 to 7 pounds for Toy group, the Yorkshire Terrier breed. We can not imagine anyone wanting anything smaller than that! Their bones are very fragile and can break by jumping from a car falling out of bed, being stepped on or worse. Many breeders, while tacking a whooping price on a puppy, "claim" of race called "teacups" as if they were a breed all their own. Do not be fooled! Are not a race itself. If a breeder says they specialize in "teacups" Run, run, run by the hills! "Most teacup" puppies are in reality, a premature puppy. Most females are bred in the ninth through fifteen days of the heat cycle. The eggs can be fertilized for up to 72 hours after any of these are breeding. Therefore, it is possible to have puppies conceived until a week or so younger than the puppies first conceived in a litter. However, when the first puppies conceived are mature and ready for birth, work begins and all pups born, regardless of when they were fertilized. Some of the problems may be encountered are both genetic and congenital in young infants and the list is long. The risk of open fontanelles (soft skull bone not forming), portosystemic shunts (PSS-abnormal vessel that allows the blood around the liver as a result, blood is not cleaned by one of the bodies filters: .. liver), hypoglycemia, heart problems, collapse trachea, luxating kneecaps, Leggs Calves Perthes disease, seizures, hydroencephaly, blindness and digestive problems may be increased in these tiny babies. Problems such as respiratory problems can remain or worsen over their lives. These babies frequently are so fragile they can not live more than a few years. There have been several small Yorkies as adults who still had open fontanelles and their owners had to carry food with them all the time. Their vets have felt unsafe to give a full dose of vaccine for the puppies had to get several injections to be on the safe side. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Poodle, or any other race, for that matter. They simply do not exist. "Teacup" is just a marketing strategy proposed by the farmers without scruples and ethics to drive up the price of their puppies! The so-called "teacups" search anything from $ 1000 to $ 10.000! This is ridiculous and embarrassing! There are a lot of chronic, unhealthy puppies because unscrupulous breeders and puppy mills are inbreeding. Some poor ones only live for a very short time too! They take a little bit, small Yorkies and played 2 1 / 2 pounds and 3 pounds ... well, they're playing with genetics. You NEVER breed a female of any breed less than 5 pounds. PLEASE educate yourself before buying a small dog if it is a Yorkie or any other race. You could be in months or years anxiety not to mention staggering veterinarian bills! NOT YOUR JOB! IF YOU WANT A HEALTHY PUPPY, DO NOT FALL FOR THE TEACUP ACT
