How big in size/weight should a 1 year minature australian shepherd be?
My dog turned 1 a few days ago and its only 13 pounds. Is this abnormal? I heard fully grown aussies being 30-40 pounds. I am still able to pick her up.
There is no such thing as a mini aussie. YOU have a mutt. Obviously 13lbs is normal for her.
She may put on some more weight over the next year, that's about it. And again your mutt is normal for her.

I have a miniature Australian Shepherd is going to be 01 March. he is a herding dog so that it always takes control of the family. I got the idea take a dog. my parents, like him, but arent satisfied. keep saying one more year. What should I do? apup just need to play. He is very social and behaves with other dogs.
I think he should get another dog.
