Minnesota Dog Breeders Q&A
Does anyone else have a Dogue de Bordeaux they purchased from a breeder named Mark Roberts in Afton Minnesota?
I purchased my Dogue de Bordeaux from a breeder named Mark Roberts in Afton, Minnesota well over a year ago now. He run a website, www.vonkrenz.com.When I first got him he said he had sent in the papers to wherever you send them in and was waiting on them back. I thought nothing of it being this is the first purebred dog I've ever purchased. Since then I've been trying to get the papers and he comes up with one excuse after another. I have met other people with Bordeaux from him over the past 14 months, but did not think to ask if they got papers. I recently heard a rumor that he was discredited 4 years ago, but this could very well be hear say. I'm trying to find out if anyone else has got a Bordeaux from Mark and how their situation turned out. Any info or advice would be great. Feel free to look at his sight www.vonkrenz.com, I looked at it for about a year before I purchased my pup.
You can check the status of your papers at www.akc.org. go to the store page and choose "dog lookup". Choose to search by breed and by name and you can see if the paperwork ever actually got filed. Part of the problem with the DDB is that it was in the miscellaneous class in AKC and recently became fully recognized. If the dog has AKC-FSS paperwork STILL then it means that they could not verify 3 generation parentage. There is more info on www.ddbs.org.

Minnesota Dog Breeders Q&A
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Breeders?
I'm interested in getting a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, but I do not know when it might be able to get one. I would love to look around for a good breeder, although by the time I am able to get one. Does anyone from a reputable breeder in Minnesota or surrounding area? states that it was already at the club site of the race - none of them had websites and I would like the breeder has a website I can see their dogs, pedigrees, titles, results of health screenings, etc. Thanks in advance: Lindsey B When ever I asked a question about getting another dog breed, in addition to German Shepherds and Pembroke Welsh Corgi? Do your research before answer a question with an answer like that. Do not hesitate to seek out all the questions I asked.
I encountered the same problem in finding my breeder wheat. Reputable breeders do not usually have web sites, and only played once in any event each year and their puppies are usually already spoken for. So I do not need a website. If you have an email address in the list, send it to them and email and see who responds. That's what I did and all emails mails sent, 3 farmers turned to me. You do not have pups until the end of the year, not placed in a home with children, and the other is the going to. Puppies are due in April! Once you have established email contact, the breeder should be more than willing to send photos to view and send the past to contact the owners of the dog. It will also provide the test results of health, genealogies and titles as well. You also should make an appointment to meet with the breeder and their dogs. It takes a little leg work, but worth it to get a quality puppy! And if you have an address email list, get on the horn and give them a call! They are good people and not bite! Good luck!
