Missouri Dog Breeders License Q&A

Poll: Where did you get your dog/dogs? Breeders? Rescue? Pet store?

I got my Shiba-Inu from a certified breeder in Missouri, they didn't have any good ones here in California at the time and this state is full of puppy mills...She's a pure-bred but I affectionately call her mutt anyways.
She's my one and only, but it sounds like my family always buys them from respected, licensed breeders.

What about you guys? I'm curious to see how many get their pets from where!
Our breeder had proof of her bloodline going way back and I got to see live videos of the mom and pups everyday. He has detailed reports on his site of every puppy he's every sold, their parents, and the home they went to. He did a background check on us too to make sure that we would take care of her.
Doesn't exactly sound like a puppy mill to me.

Well, my Demon, Min Schnauzer came from a top showing/breeder in Oklahoma, I got him on Oct. 8th, 2004........he is a character

Koda is my Male Akita and is a Certified Therapy Dog, my brother in Alaska got him for me as a Christmas present years ago, he was born in Fairbanks,. AK, and my brother brought him to me.

Nikki, my other Male Akita he is a full blood, he is a Rescue Akita, that I rescued and fell in love with him and kept him....

Bear, My Newfoundland, came to me from brother in Montana, he breeds and trains them as water rescue dogs...he has been breeding and training them for over 20 yrs......

I love all my dogs.....

Missouri Dog Breeders License Q&A

Does it come from a puppy mill?

the USDA regulations are to the kennels? Let me put it this way ... If the dog is not standing on the stool is proper when the inspector arrives regularly inspected, unless you plan every 5 years to have an appointment scheduled with a month's notice is a "Periodic Inspection" Please check look at that website for more information ... animals are health checked by the USDA NEVER, making a quick walk through to ensure that no animal it is in the waste and the puppies are almost always less healthy than a puppy from a local breeder. Again USDA licensing is only for puppy mills! Only mass breeding sold through an agent is required to be licensed by the USDA.
