Getting a shih-tzu puppy tomorrow?
So im getting a male shih-tzu puppy tomorrow and he's being transported from a breeder from Missouri to new jersey by ground. Of course they said to bring a crate to put him in when he's in the car. Im super excited and nervous at the same time. Im naming him Chance 
He'll be 10 weeks old on tuesday. I know when i bring him home and take him out, he'll be extremely confused and scared. So my question is, what would be the best way to make him adjust and become more comfortable at my house?
Call the breeder and ask him to send a furry toy with the mother dog's scent rubbed on it. The puppy will feel more at home when he can smell his mother. Make sure he has a warm place to curl up in, like a dog bed or a soft blanket. Put a ticking clock (like an alarm clock) in the bed so he can hear 'his mother's heartbeat'.
Those two things really helped my own dog calm down when I got him.
