I want to adopt a capuchin monkey, need some direction.
I want to adopt a capuchin but I cannot find one for under 3 grand and that is just crazy to me. I have found a few for 3-6 hundred but it ends up to be a scam. Does anyone know where there is a reputable breeder willing to adopt out their capuchins for a reasonable price? Also before I get too ahead of myself is there anyone who knows where to find the laws for exotic pets in bladen county north carolina?
Ok here is the deal I have two capuchins and your just not going to find them for under 7000 grand most of the time! Ever so often you will find older ones that are cheaper but as a first time monkey owner you will want a baby! Capuchins are one of the most expensive primates to buy as a pet. And as bad as I hate to agree with anything the other people have said on here, That the cheapest part of having a monkey is buying it! They do cost tons of money to keep healthy and happy BUT it can be done! Its more work then I can put into words but its also has the best payoff !
Anything under 7000 on a baby capuchin is most likely going to be a scam! Make sure you do your reading and know what you are getting into before you bring a baby home! And remember Caps live up to 30 -40+ years! Can you give a monkey a home for the next 40 years? And stay home with it or take it with you just about everywhere! Just a few questions you need to ask your self before you get a baby!
