AKC Papers; How Do I do this?
So I already sent in the Litter registration form and I received papers for each puppy to be sent back in.
I was told by my mentor that I could keep the papers and send them in myself with everyone's info, to make sure all dogs get registered, but It requires the new owners signature? i cant get everyone's signature, since not everyone lives in town.
Do i register them under my own name? Im not sure how to do this. The way my mentor said it, she made it sound super easy, like I could send them in for everyone.
The puppies I am doing it for are Limited Registry in pet homes. I am doing it myself to insure it gets done, because it often does not. Everyone knew this before they bought.
In Australia the pups registered names are picked by the breeder not the new owner.... wow you guys have it easy in the USA.
It's just luck of the draw here whether or not a breeder picks a good name, sometimes you can negotiate with them and get your choice of name but not very often.
I would send the papers in yourself... do you really want you kennel name to have a ridiculous name that someone picked after it?
Say you Kennel name was "Magic" the new owners might decide to be idiots and call it something like "Magic in my pants"
Not a smart move if you want your kennel name to have some respect in the dog world.
