What does this award (NSDAR) get me?
So ok one of my teachers came up to me like a month ago in November and told me I won or got the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution award. Then all he told me was to fill out this paper which just had the usual, name,address, phone# type stuff on it, and then stuff that he (my history/government teacher) had to fill out.When I was done I had to give it back to him, but anyway, I have no clue what it is and yes I have looked up the website on the internet for NSDAR but I'm still confused on what I receive or if I receive anything at all and I'd really like to know. So if anyone out there has gotten this award or just knows a lot about it please let me know. Thanks! ( btw I'm currently a senior in high school)
They have essay contests with cash prizes. They have scholarships. Some of them deem membership an honor, based on genealogy.
Ask your teacher WHICH award you got, then call the local chapter and ask them if you get a certificate, a check or something else.
