When you go to a shelter to get a dog why is it called adopting?
I got my Newfoundland from a rescue and the way I see it, we BOUGHT a dog. I think calling it "adoption" is a little over the top. Why is it referred to as "adopting" rather then "purchasing?"
A rescue group is waaaaaay different from a shelter.
Rescue groups charge more as a way to ensure that you can financially support the dog.
Shelters just want the dogs in homes, so they charge for medical care, shots, and spaying/neutering.
Big difference.

Mine are probably: extra small - - half westie small chihuahuas - English Springer Spaniel Large - sized golden retriever - Newfoundland, but if I was every time a dog can be a rescue dog breed wats ur fav and why? I love my Newfies xtra large Great Danes and forgot to mention in my section large breed the farmer! lovely dogs. I agree with the dogs is at least medium-and small i wouldnt those because I would be afraid to hurt me when you pull the head and stuff! nobody is scared of breaking a large Danish neck when he pulls the head, are more worried about breaking your own neck! lol
