Question for Dog Breeders, Dog Owners and Dog lovers etc???
I have a 1 yr old pure bred (papered) Golden Retriever. He is great with my daughter who is 22 months old, and strangers other dogs etc. He is healthy and a super loveable dog. Unfortunately due to finances we must move to a location where dogs are not permitted, any suggestions or resources for me to sell my dog???? We live in Northern California, and I'm just not sure where to turn to do this???
oh and btw not to be greedy but my 22 month old daughter and my 2 week old son kinda need health insurance - so don't look down your noses at me for wanting to sell my investment I have put a lot of money into this dog, but ALWAYS my children are WAY MORE important.
You might want to talk to the breeder you got the dog from first.
Every breeder we've gotten a dog from is not only willing to take in the animal (no matter the age) but some actually stipulate in the contract that you are required to let them take the dog.
If that's not the case, talk to the local breed rescue group. There may be a family who is willing to foster him until a suitable home can be found.
And talk to your vet's office. They may be aware of even more resources.
