Nuclear Reactor Facts Q&A
fusion energy?
ok i have done my research and ive read as many articles i could find, and what ive found is that our bigger nukes use fusion instead of fission, my question is why we dont use fusion in nuclear reactors its cleaner, safer and yeilds much more energy, am i going crazxy or am i missing a huge fact or detail that explains why we have the technology and the resources to make a fusion reactor but we dont have one, gah i sence another gov't concperacy
I agree completely. Controlled thermonuclear fusion would provide humanity with essentially UNLIMITED clean safe energy at very low prices with essentially no high level nuclear waste. The fact is, we have not accomplished this feat just yet, although we are very, very close. A new US-European-Japanese-Korean Tokamak type reactor is currently under construction in southern France that will be four times larger than any previous attempt, and is very likely to achieve "ignition" meaning the creation of a self sustaining fusion fire that gives off more energy than it consumes. It should be finished and working by ~2011, I heard. Once this technology is perfected, we will be able to do all manner of things cheaply, such as create gasoline from CO2 if we want, or obtain valuable elements from ordinary dirt if we want or send starships to Alpha Centauri or Tau Ceti or anywhere else if we want......the list goes on and on. I can hardly wait. As for that government conspiracy, there is no conspiracy, exactly, only a large number of Senators and Congressmen repeatedly voting no for such projects and instead favoring their favorite pork barrel project that will assist them in getting re-elected. After all, what is more important? Pie in the sky unlimited cheap energy? or getting re-elected? The correct choice is obvious to even the stupidest government official.

Nuclear Reactor Facts Q&A
Does anybody miss Chretien Prime Minister?
I do - the fact that he could not speak in any official launguages was completely incoherant sometimes reaching more of the RCMP and smashed the jaw of a protester in his hand to throw a cream pie on him that one day he was in his micophone (not know) and was heard clearly saying "You know I have to be tough with the Americans love to be back home" The fact that it became a year of his political career in a vendor door to door with the prime ministers behind him flying from one country to try to sell nuclear reactors can du and called "Team Canada" never bored and often funny when he was in power was the only man on the planet who actually Mužla Shiela police miss the man I am alone in this Mulrooney eh? Then you must love Mulrooney Jr - Steven Harper
The strange thing? Not a chance. I kind of miss the colorful Pierre Trudeau, however.
