Old Bulldog Breeder Q&A

25 day old bulldog puppies.when do i stop feeding them every 3:30 hours?

when can i introduce them to puppy chow? and when is it safe to leave them alone for more then 5hours(i need a break). No im not a pro breeder(for all u SMART A$$'s).
No mother is not accepting the puppies. how long is the longest i can leav them alone?
No not puppy chow...but a subsitute for the milk(formula).

The dogs need to keep being fed until they are 8 weeks old. That is when the mother would start weaning them. They are supposed to be feed every 4 hours. After about 5 or 6 weeks (that's approximate) you can stop bottle feeding them and they make a second step puppy formula that you can then just mix and place in a bowl and they will eat from there. However, when they are old enough to start lapping you can stop bottle feeding. But they still need to be fed ever 4 hours for while even after 8 weeks. Please don't tell me you are actually feeding them puppy chow that is not a very good brand of food.

Old Bulldog Breeder Q&A

3 year old American bulldog has hives?

My 3 year old American bulldog has hives. It is not the first time that happen time and have been about 15 veterans of the time in the last 2 years. The vets do not seem so do not attend and all they do is give it a shot and 3 tablets day. But through my own research (books, long time breeders bulldog American, the number of veterinarians, and my doctor, who has a lot of knowledge about dogs) and I discovered the vaccine your veterinarian give your dog can be harmful to the lungs if giveing to much and the pills you get are basic benadryl! So if your dog has not reach the hive and keep things in fear benadryl in her closet as med. Wrap ice in a Towl seems to stop the itching and while your waiting for the benadryl to work. The amount of benadryl to give your dog depends on your weight, so contact your veterinarian before giveing your dog any medication. 4mg two labels benadryl 3 times a day based on 45 kg dog!

You to get the dog to a veterinarian. It is clear that there is something you are allergic. Shots and pills will not solve the root problem. The shots are probably only steroids, and it will not hurt the lungs, but will not solve the problem. Never give a dog human medications. Ice can stop the itching, but the problem is likely that a poor diet. Giving medicines all the time is very bad for a dog. Instead of giving your dog drugs, can change his food to something without corn, wheat, soybeans, etc.
