Papillon Club Of America Q&A
Is the American Canine hybrid club a scam?
lately i've been planning to get a dog and i couldn't choose between a maltese and a papillon so i decided to get a mixed breed from a shelter. and i've heard of the american kennel club, american canine club, etc. and i wanted to know a bit about the mixed breed so i googled the american canine hybrid club to see if the papitese was recognized and it was but then it showed "find papitese breeders" and i clicked on it and it showed all these breeders in america but i always thought 'arent papitese dogs accidents and end up in shelters?' and then i wasnt sure if the site is a scam or not. wat do u guys think?? is it a scam???
soz i 4got the link
this is the link
http://www.achclub.com/
this is the link that mentioned the site http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/p/papitese.htm
The registration is legit in the sense that your dog would be registered with their registry, however, that registration is worth less than the paper it's printed on for any use other than saying "my dog is registered! (with an organization created to lend credibility to puppy mill and back yard breeders that I am indirectly supporting through this registration)."
If you want to participate in canine sports or have a registration or listing with a credible registry, you can get your dog registered with the American Kennel Club's "canine partners" program as a mixed-breed if you can provide proof that she is spayed (unlike the American Hybrid Club the AKC wants to discourage unethical breeding but promote canine sports and companionship regardless of breed or mix).
I would not register with the ACH Club as I would not want me or my dog associated with a registry thought of as a puppy mill and back yard breeder organization. I would register my dog with AKC, but I do canine sports and it really isn't necessary if you aren't planning on competition obedience, agility, tracking, etc in the future.

The registration is reliable in the sense that your dog is registered with their registration, however, that the registration is worth less than the paper it's printed on for any purpose other than to say "my dog is registered! (With an organization created to give credibility to the puppy mill breeders and seat back to support me indirectly through this record). "If you want to participate in sport dog or a register or list with a reliable record, you can get your dog registered with" canine partner, "the American Kennel Club program as of mixed race if you can prove that she is sterile (unlike the American club of the AKC wants to discourage hybrid breeding ethics, but to promote canine sport and company, regardless of race or mixture). I did not register with ACH Club I would not want me or my dog associated with a record considered a puppy mill and back yard breeder organization. I would like to register my dog with AKC, but canine sports and not really necessary if you are not planning on competition obedience, agility, tracking, etc in the future.
