I think I've come up with the perfect pet store?
Due to popular demand and some helpful insights, here is my plan for a pet store.
-A HUGE store that sells just about everything you need for any kind of pet (small pets, birds, reptiles, fish, dogs, cats, and horses)
-THe only live animals I will sell are a few home bred, hand reared birds that I breed right in my home.
And some feeder mice... Snakes have to eat too!
-I will have a directory of breeders so people can buy exactly what they want from a breeder.
-Will have adoption days set up with the local animal shelter so people can come in and adopt a dog or cat in need!
-And, there will be a do-it-yourself dog washing station where there is a raised dog bath and you can wash your dog yourself and you have different options like oatmeal bath, flea and tick, anti skunk, conditioner, etc.
So, don't you think this sounds like a great pet store?
Um, no. Other petstores do NOT do what mine will. Duh
i love this idea!!! it sounds sooooooooooo great!! i really hope you expand into more petstores soo i can even have one where i live!!! that would be really cool!!! you sound like you know everything and actually know what your doing unlike some petstores!!!
the dog washing station sounds great, i would go to it in my personal situation because my dog is the hardest thing to wash!!! ohhh wow i cant help thinking this would be the GREATEST petstore of like all time!!! deafently do it!!

Where to find a breeder of rats?
I am looking for a luxury pet rat, and I decided to go with a breeder to avoid possible health problems in rats, pet store, and a more socialized pet. However, I am having some issues finding breeders in my area. Breeder directories few I've looked through have had a lot of websites is no longer in use. Does anyone know a good directory where I can find ratteries, or Rattery in Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho or Western Montana? I had not thought about the Society Protection of Animals, I will look into that. AZ, your account does not allow other email users.
Contact the Humane Society. There are usually farmers or maintenance breeding registered through them.
