Should I put up with this? Someone help me?!?
Okay, my best friend since childhood and I are planning on sharing an apartment for a year while we both start grad school. She has always been a little arrogant and selfish. but I overlooked it because her good nature seemed to outweigh her pitfalls.
Anyway, since we've been planning the move, she is only concerned about herself. We can only afford a 1-bedroom and instead of sharing it she wants to take it and let me sleep in the living room. She thinks I should pay for my friendly dog to live at a kennel so her aggressive dog can live in the apartment, and she doesn't want to help me pay the kennel bill because as she said it, it's my dog.
She keeps pedestaling herself this way, and it annoys me. Should I change plans and get my own place, or what??

I would NOT take that at all. I too have been planning to move in with my "best friend" in an apartment together for the first 1-2 years of college, but I'm starting to think twice...
I was questioning the whole room thing, but when I read about your dog, that's too much. Talk to her. WHY does HER dog get to stay, but your dog has to leave, tell her you don't think it's fair. BOTH of you are going to be living there, are you going to let her hog everything up? I strongly think you should do something about it now before (or if) you move in together because who knows how bad it will get.
