I would like to take my pet(A small Shihtzu X Pomeranian mix)weighting 6 lbs to India. Any information on laws
It would be great if anyone could provide any information on the health effects on the dog due change in the environment and also the hassles involved in taking my dog out of US and bringing it back into US. The trip is planned for 3 months.
Import of Pet Animals into India
Domestic pets like dogs, cats, birds etc. can be brought into India by a passenger coming to India subject to producing an health certificate from an authorised Veterinary Officer to the following effect:
Pet - Dog
Health certificate - To the effect that the pet is free from Aujossky's disease, Distemper, Rabies, Leishmaoiasies and Leptospirosies.
For dogs and cats originating from countries where Rabies infection is known to exist, a health certificate giving the following particulars should be produced:
- record of vaccination;
- vaccine used;
- brew of the vaccine;
- name of the production laboration of the vaccine;
It should also contain a statement mentioning that the dog / cat was vaccinated against Rabies more than one month, but :
- within twelve (12) months prior to actual embarkation with nervous tissue vaccine; or
- within thirtysix (36) months with chicken embryo, and that both the vaccines having previously passed satisfactory potency tests.

What is the average price of a teacup Pomeranian?
I know the breed "teacup" does not exist, but do not know another name to call these little dogs, anyway .... does any body knows the price? Any additional information would be useful. Thanks c:
Real breeders do not have these - a good breeder can sell the runt of the litter to a Pet price only on condition that you've neutered), although many good breeders prefer to put these puppies down). Anyone who has deliberately bred for smaller dogs was limited to race midgets dwarfs therefore could be tricked into paying huge money for a dog that has parents Darwinian rule have never lived to reproduce. Get a real Pomerania if that's what you want - you pay less in vet bills for his life, and does not contribute BYB to those who promote these "false" races.
