Male or female portuguese water dog?
I have a male Yorkie he is dominant. we want him to be higher rank then the next dog and will get a submissive puppy We are getting a portuguese water dog puppy. Should we get a male or a female?
We heard that a female can be more stubborn. Is that true?

I don't think male or female will make a difference. Either way you're getting a high energy pushy dog.
Why is it important to have the Yorkie as top dog? I think you'll find that between the two of them, they'll work out their pecking order. The important thing is to socialize your puppy to all kinds of experiences including being around other dogs. (Make sure they are "nice" dogs).
Finally, this should be a question for your breeder. A quality breeder will know best which puppy is right for you since they've been raising them for 3 to 4 months. They should a have a better idea which one will best fit your situation.
