Looking for a puppy....thinking about a CHIHUAHUA...opinions plz?
Hi!! I'm looking into getting another dog. I have a 1 yr old puggle (beagle pug mix) and have been looking around online and in the area at puppies.
I have had all female dogs growing up as my mom is anti male dog as they "mark" their territory...
The other day I came across a tiny chihuahua male puppy and fell in love!! He seemed like a happy and healthy little pup but I was wondering if anyone else has chihuahuas and knows how they interact having another dog around....
I live in a small apartment home type deal so a big dog is out of the picture. Also, do u think male versus female is really an issue that I should be concerned of??
Also does anyone know any breeders in ny or online??

I have 2 dogs. A lab and a bichon shihtzu. The lab is male and the shihtzu is female. They get along really well, since the lab is older and the puppy really looks up to him. Don't worry about the difference in gender especially when you're getting a puppy. Also you should know that chihuahuas are kind of yappy dogs, I know this because the people I know with these dogs have the hardest time keeping them quiet. You might want to consider that. Other than that, go for it. It's always fun and exciting getting a dog.
