Help! URGENT! I want to adopt a PUG in the NY/NJ area?
I've tried PetFinder.com and I've even tried calling local shelters and shelters in NYC. But I haven't had any luck! I'm not interested in buying a puppy. I want to adopt a pug that's preferably 1-4 years of age. MUST be good with small children. I live in Rockland County but I wouldn't have a problem traveling to Jersey or even the city to adopt. Purebred dogs do come into shelters, but less commonly than mixed breeds, so you may have to be patient on this one. Many shelters will let you leave your name and number and the type of pet you are looking for, and if one comes in give you a call, so ask about this.
