Saint Bernard Temperament Q&A
Can female dogs temperaments change even when they are fixed and rapidly?
Yesterday the two dogs (one is a beagle mix and the other is a Pyrenees/shepherd mix) were in the backyard, and the beagle mix jumped towards the other to play, and our shepherd mix tried to shake her. Then for the rest of the evening went to attack her when ever they were together with the other dogs (one is a saint bernard, and the other is a chow mix). They've never had problems before yesterday and I don't want to have to get rid of either dog. Any suggestions??
That's NOT "temperament",that's BEHAVIOR!
You better get your donkey in gear & STOP that behavior before there's serious damage!
Dogs *can* & sometimes do decide another must die & there's nothing you can do about that besides separating them-permanently.

Saint Bernard Temperament Q&A
How I can make a dog bigger in size?
I have purchased a St. Bernard dog a home. He is very sweet, kind and very nice to my other animals. I'm worried, because although it seems very thin and small for age (just over a year and a half). It looks almost malnourished. I have no intention of changing this dogs temperament, as is the sweetest dog I ever had. But I I want to eat foods that promote growth and muscle mass building where he will recover to its normal size or larger. Any suggestions As for a good meal to feed to make it grow?
At this age, there will be larger in height and bone is concerned. You can increase the mass muscle through protein-rich foods and plenty of exercise. There's probably no higher or wider. After a certain period of time, growth plate (physis) and the growth of some long bones no longer occur. This is usually complete by 13 months in most dogs. It is not really a way to "reactivate" them. If you're really curious to see if the plates have fused, you can ask your local veterinarian for an x-ray of legs. growth plates are less opaque (white) of the bones during growth, and when closed becomes a dense white. Seems a bit expensive, and an extreme measure but take a chance. Of course, a good vet is concerned about unnecessary exposure to radiation dog. My best advice is to feed a diet high quality and give you plenty of exercise. If you are still gaining weight, that would stop him from pancreatic insufficiency. Hope this helps.
