I'm looking to buy a UK-bred German Shepherd - but dislike Schutzhund training....?
Anyone out there in Wales who home-breeds German Shepherds without the aggressive Schutzhund training? I have owned dogs all my life, and boarded dogs for many years (including GSDs). Looking to buy a female GSD puppy who has not been spoiled by aggressive training. Would happily accept a white puppy.

Rayven - I have boarded several quite aggressive GSD's (in one case for 6 months) so why would you say I have no idea?
OK, Rayven, maybe. But perhaps I'd be able to give a dog a very good home - and I'd be able to train it properly, too.
I can't really help you but I think I understand what you may mean.The dogs with the strong Schutzhund lines are quite often dogs with very strong prey drives and more hard headed.They need a strong temperament to do well in this training.However not all pups make the cut.If you want a dog with a softer attitude speak with GSd breeders and they can match you with a pup that fits your personality and what you want in a dog.Added; Yes GSd's can have strong prey drive but you do have some that do not have as strong an attitude.You don't want to a fault of being skiddish but I believe this person wants a GSd that is more submissive nothing wrong with that.There are some GSds like any other breeds that are too strong willed to be handled by an inexperienced person or someone just wants an easier temperament.

Wow ... you have to look long and hard for one of them. It is likely that thousands and thousands of dollars. People are not likely to sell to a champion, even for a great price. But good luck ...
