Suggest you try Battersea Dogs' Home, or Wood Green Animal Shelter.
Otherwise contact the relevant Breed Club websites and find a reputable breeder. Far too many of these small dogs are being produced by the unscrupulous. Buying a puppy from a local source isn't necessary the right way to go - you may strike lucky and find a good breeder, but you are more likely going to find a BYB. Be prepared to travel for the right puppy! And steer clear of puppy sale websites.

im looking for a puppy. either a shih tzu, peekingese or lash apso or a cross between either. should ba male in the Northamptonshire / Daventry area in the United Kingdom. iv searched the local newspapers, but there's nothing there, online sites, everyone seems to keep them away. our budget is £ 300 tops. which means that probably ba must cross to fit within our budget. Does anyone know a show or something to find where I could get one? thanks
