Just rescued (fostering) 2 dogs.....?
Was at shelter, took 2 dogs from a lady because I could not stand to see them go in. I am a softie. They are a border collie mix- 6 mos. old and a bulldog/boxer- 3 yrs old. Does anyone know of rescue organizations in Southern CA that will help with placement?? Or any suggestions for how to find them homes, they are so sweet and deserve to find a family that can appreciate what awesome dogs they are.
I have rescued dog's for many year's. I put an ad in the Thrifty Nickel and keep it there, there's alway's babies out there that need homes. I make sure the person or people that want to adopt the dog gives him a safe and happy home. I use what I call a contract, that's not really worth the paper it's written on, to try to insure a good home . I demand a fenced yard, never chain , alway's have clean, dry shelter , never hit, and alway's take the pet to a vet if it's ever sick or injured, have yearly vaccination's required by law. If the dog is a puppy and not neuterer, it must be done before he is six month's old. People do go along with the "contract" and know I will check up on the living conditions for one year.I also put clause in there, that if I find thing's not in accordance with my little "contract", I can remove the pet from their home. So far I've had to remove two dog's from their adoptive parent's out of the last 100 dog's that have found home's. I feel like that's a pretty good average.It work's for me, you may want to try doing this. Bless you for caring and acting on behalf of these innocent babies. Good luck, keep up the good work.
