Swollen Boxer Puppy Eyes Q&A
Dogs and medicine?
One of my puppies (Boxer, female) was breathing funny like he was suffocating. So I told my dad to take her to the vet. Toke it to today as I was in school. When I got home I said go out and see her because she had to give him some Benadryl because I thought it would help. And now their eyes are swollen. The vet said there could be bronckitus or pneamonia. But we have not got any medicine or anything for it yet. What do you think, and what we do. I'm really worried about her. So please help! We believe he may have had an allergic reaction.
It seems to me that could have a reaction allergic. Benadryl is a good thing and should be given every 6 hours. Consider also take her to another vet - This sounds as if he knows what he's talking about. She has no heartworms by chance, right? Heartworms can cause a lot of swelling and can cause a dog to look as if he had bronchitis or pneumonia. It seems strange that the vet did not give any medication with a diagnosis that way. Good luck
