Why do people keep using the term teacup Chihuahua or yorkie?
Any reputable breeder will tell you there is no such breed as a teacup chihuahua or yorkie. The dogs are a toy breed whether they weigh 3 lb or 12 lb. That teacup pup a bad breeder will sell you for mucho bucks could turn out to be 15 lb. They are a toy breed, not a teacup. If they are small, they are small. If you want a teacup, go to a china shop.
people don't do enough research to figure out there's no such thing as teacup, and I guess there's just too many bad breeders out there. It's sad really

My brother wants a teacup Chihuahua. One wanted a couple of years, and his birthday is coming up so I'm looking for one for him. I am aware that they are pieces of trash, they can not live more than a short time, and only Sh * t-breeders make - but if you really want to waste your money on vet bills for 6 years, I can go ahead. not pay more than $ 100 for it, as they have a short shelf life, and are crap. I'm in New York. I have looked on Kijiji, craigslist, and I searched the Internet for "breeders." All prices were too high, or was an older. Any ideas?
There are not many breeders of the race to get smaller. They are just a fact of life. Registered breeders get big ... Sometimes size does not mean they are not healthy. This means they are only small. In some families one child are much smaller than the others and does not mean they are sick, although can sometimes be a cause ..... This means that genes in the gene pool has produced a small child ..... or dog. I have a friend w / a very small Chihuahua is 14 years old ... and in perfect condition .... starting to the Falls, but that's normal. She has not had a speck of trouble w / the health of your pet. I have met other also w / the same experience. NO = little sick. Indeed, in general, the rule is the smaller the dog throughout life. Example: Great Danes ... life expectancy 13-14 Chihuahua 8 years .... Look Mickey Roarke ... your Chihuahua just died a couple of weeks ago ... At 20! And never get sick.
