Human rights societies in Richmond Hill or Toronto?
A few weeks ago, we studies holocaust in our history class and although I had studied it before, this time, we watched real videos and some fake ones, but it touched me and after that I have been feeling guilty every day for my pathetic, useless existence.
Everybody says, "I wait till I grow up and then, I'll have more time." But it never happens and eventually everybody forgets.
I really want to contribute. Are there societies I can join in GTA? I like in Richmond Hill, near Toronto. I am looking for a group that is going to get me involved. NO WEBSITES!
Here's the problem with web sites:
You join. Then, you pay for a good membership to enjoy some of the websites components, one of which always turns out to be a chat room. You get addicted and you say farewell to all your primary intentions RIGHT THERE.
I want to do something that would affect other people's lives.
Any ideas?
The elderly in Canada get enough attention.
The only thing I could really find was the Harmony Movement. I think this is in North York, but there might be more locations. idk. There's a website where you can find out more about it, but not contribute from it. And of course, if you can't join some kind of society, you could do basic stuff like volunteer at homeless shelters and stuff like that.
Other than this, I couldn't find much else.
