My Chihuahua is sucking on her toy and walking around with her tongue out?
I have two Chihuahuas, and am a registered breeder. I have a pair of Chihuahuas. As a breeder, I have seen numerous cases of odd behaviour, but am now dealing with a behaviour I have never seen before! My five month old female is spending about 2-3 hours a day sucking on her stuffed bear. She is not biting, or playing like she used to, she is staying in one spot, and if you look closely, you can see her little tongue moving up and down, almost like a baby on a pacifier. Also, when she is not sucking, she keeps her tongue stuck out (just walking around, playing, etc.) about half an inch... I have an appointment with the vet on Saturday, but am just wondering if anyone else has experienced these behaviours or has any ideas what might be behind them?? Thanks.
My male has done that with his favorite toy for almost 5 years. It's soothing. Often he does that as he falls asleep. I never saw anything to worry about. He just lays there, eyes half open, with it in his mouth and he'll bite down every 4 -5 seconds. He eventually just falls asleep

vulva dog has purple spots!?
Yesterday I noticed a purple spot on my vulva dogs. I told my mom and dad. My parents are so concerned they do not want to spend money on my dog. Is it a normal part of heat? She is 3 years old and bled on my sister and she caught my neighbors dog. Today I checked on site after school and purple blotch was swollen. I asked this question today, but the answers did not help. I am not a breeder who can not afford to have more dogs and want to know how could cost to heat sterilization. She is 13 pounds and is a Chihuahua and toy fox terrier mix. Is there anything I can do at home to help? I can not call the vet either because I'm only 13 my dad will not let me.
