My 10 mo. old puggle is eating EVERYTHING! help please!?
My lil girl Ellie is eating everything in sight. Not chewing on it but actually eating it. She knows what drop is and will drop it but then pick it back up and swallow it like asap. Just today (its only 8AM) she has eaten a business she found outside on our walk, tore apart this cardboard box and ate pieces of it, and grabbed a bit of my newspaper and ate that as well. She has a ton of toys, exercise, but just cant help her hunger. We feed her 1/2 cup of dry food mixed with a packet of pedigree dog food in the morning and at night. She also has her dry food available to her when she wants. She is 22 pounds. Are we not feeding her enough? Any suggestions would be great. and yes we plan on taking her to puppy classes when the new session starts.
I think it's just boredom coupled with a little bit of defiance. Sounds like you're feeding her enough - that's the same amount I feed my lab. How about rawhide? See if you can satisfy her with a big old rawhide bone.
