What is the best way to train a 5 month old boxer/pit bull puppy to walk on a leash?
She pulls sometimes. Should I get some kind of training leash? Is she to young?
Not too young. Use your regular buckle collar, and 6 foot lead. Never let her walk when she has tension on the leash. Ever. If she pulls, stop walking, and give the leash a tug so she learns the end of the leash is uncomfortable. Do this every time. You can also turn and walk in the opposite direction instead of stopping... but never let her get anywhere by pulling. Be patient, in time she'll learn and have great leash manners!
