Training A Chihuahua Q&A
how to potty training my chihuahua to the litter box?
I have a 6mo. old puppy, she's kinda of potty trained to outside, but i want her to go in the litter box... any ideas, tips, etc?
plz and thanks so much.
Potty training is, to most owners, the first and most important kind of training a puppy needs. When it comes to potty training, all pups are not created equal. Some breeds are known for being easy to potty train while others are more difficult—this should be one of the things you look into as you explore different breeds.
Individual puppies also vary. Be patient. A puppy is a baby, and babies need time to master acceptable potty procedures. Young puppies don't have complete control of their bladders or bowels, and sometimes by the time they realize they have to go, they simply can't hold it any longer. It's your job to keep your puppy off your carpets until he's reliably trained, to teach him where he should go, and to be patient when he has an accident.

Training A Chihuahua Q&A
Crate Training My Chihuahua in a larger cage?
Allright I'm getting a Chihuahua morning and comes with a box of their small size. When I'm in my new shcool Camey Chihuahua will be in a cage injured cat that dosn't believe her.I 'm using my old German Shepherds Cage. Is that the great and I think there is enough space to do business, sleep and eating. I just want to sleep and eat on it while they're gone. That was a lot of time i help choose the best answer, so I think I'll wait for your train in small cage and then give the cage largers. change of plans that will remain in the grandmother 's house is my home all day except Friday night and onTuesday evenigs bingo when she goes to work as I sandbox idea i This is hard trying to choose the person who has the best answer. I will use the small cage.
When crate training your dog should only have enough room to stand and turn around. You can not expect your puppy to stay in his cage all day and is not relieved. Your puppy needs to go out many times during the day.If your puppy is very young will have to be removed every hour and all dogs must be removed after eating. The boxes do not intend to keep your pet all day. If you are going to be in school for more than a couple of hours while I recommend you get a trusted friend or family member to stop by and carry out your puppy. It is not fair to expect your dog to continue throughout the day and most likely will not happen. It came home to a nasty mess! While you are crate training is best to keep a regular feeding schedule. What goes on on a regular basis leaving on a regular basis. Any food that has not eaten in 15 minutes should be picked up. As a general rule, your puppy will have to go 15 to 20 minutes after drinking and 30 minutes after eating. Try to avoid free food. And remember that your puppy will raid time!
