i would like LOTS of tips for training my puppy.?
shes a blue heeler, 5 months old. she already knows sit and stay, but id like to teach, fun tricks, more obedience, and things that police dogs do! i will appreiate ANY answers! thanks!!
Sign up for obedience classes - go through all of them beginning through advanced.
A really good trick book is 101 dog tricks by Kyra Sundance (has a brown down on the front holding a paper).
Blue Heelers are a great breed - but remember ALL Australian Cattle Dogs are high energy (Red/Blue heeler and brindle mixes like my picture) they need lots of exercise and training. They are also a natural at agility courses, but wait until you get farther along with training before you look into that.... I would recommend getting a saddle bag for when you walk, these dogs like to work and carrying even an empty bag give them that feeling.
Also one other book to get is, it will provide some insight into body language and dogs.
