Training Boxer Puppy Q&A
Should we separate Boxer puppies while training them?
Originally we were going to take one of our daughters Boxer pups, but when someone returned a pup because they thought they didn't want that large a dog, my wife brought it home.
They are five months old now and have learned some basics like sit, stay [for a while anyway] down, etc.
It's very hard when training them to keep their attention off each other.
A dog who's not able to obey instructions with distractions, isn't trained. Think about it - dogs learn best at obedience class - with lots of dogs, people, noise - a lot of distractions.
Boxers need a lot of socializing and yours would probably be better off at class anyway, but if you're training them at home, they have to learn to obey regardless of the distractions or there's no point in training them.

Training Boxer Puppy Q&A
When I can start my training boxer puppies?
I have been born puppies and want to know When would be a good time to start training them. Also, what should I be teaching. Thanks ^ ^
Right now! An 8-week-old puppy is very able to start learning basic commands such as sit, down, come, to find a. Remember to keep training sessions very short, though, as puppy care ranges are fleeting, and use only positive training methods based the reward. Training should be fun for you and your puppy! By 10-16 weeks, the puppy is ready to attend their first class of puppy kindergarten and all should try it - it's a great opportunity to learn socialization for your puppy.
