I would choose a pomeranian, poodle, yorkie, pug, or longhaired chihuahua, pappion, maltese, or a cocker spaniel! I have a chihuahua/ poodle mix and she is the best dog ever! There is such thing as a teacup ! My friend has a small teacup yorkie which she got for $600 from a breeder and its tiny, she fits in a small teacup!

What type of small dog is ideal for travel?
I really want a small dog, but has to be small and great for travel. I was kind of thinking about the type of pug has Massie Block Gang series. I also want to be loyal, kind, and always want to be near me. THANKS! forgot to say that it would adopt the dog. I love animals and the trip would not be too frequent. Thanks
6 lbs My yorkie loves to travel. My husband is in the military, so we're always moving and my dog is a perfect size for that. Whatever dog you get, training will be involved. I started driving with my dog when he was just a puppy. We take my house friends and some nearby parks. We had to travel an hour and a half to get home from school my parnets. He does not mind the trip at all. He knows that always end in a rather well when we get into the car. The longest trip we've had to date has been a nine-hour drive. We stop to stretch your legs often, but never got sick car or anxious. But I think it is because he is so used to being in the car now. My mother has a small dog that was not in the car until it was almost two years age. And always sick! I suggested she buy a dog seat so he could look out the window. It has helped me a lot! The dog can see and hasn't been sick in the seat. She took 7 hours to see us only last fall and the dog was great. So traveling with a dog is like anything with a dog. It takes practice and strengthening and training.
