I cant stop thinking about this puppy iv seen today..?
Its exactly what iv been looking for!
But.. the bad news.
Its in a petshop..and im pretty sure its from a puppy mill!
I forgot to ask if he came with papers.. but he was £995. It was a Chihuahua! Most of the Chihuahua breeders over in the UK sell chihuahua dogs a ridiculous price!
I dont want to keep the shop in business! But if I dont buy the dog, then someone else will.. and they will just keep getting more dogs in.
Iv fallen for this particular dog..Its not the poor dogs fault hes from a puppy mill..he deserves a home! I know its bad...
What shall I do ?What would you do? Help!!

How would I know if its from a puppy mill for sure? because im not 100% sure if it was, I cant go accusing. Iv just heard most pet shops do get their puppies from the mills!

There are actually Chi breeders that sell at £800 for some colours. The state of Chi in the UK is horrendous IMO - there are so many idiots breeding Chihuahua that have never seen the show ring in their lives and certainly haven't been health checked and then they're sold for upto £1200 - some even without KC papers!
By buying from a petstore you would be encouraging the disgusting treatment of dogs and puppies that come from puppy mills. Sure he deserves a home but you'd be paying a hell of a lot more in vet bills for this pup. If you want a Chi then contact the Chihuahua breed club, find a breeder that charges the right price (someone that doesn't make money from breeding) and someone that health tests their dogs before breeding - it'd save you a ton of money and you'd be supporting ethical breeding.
Else, try a Chihuahua rescue!
If not from a mill then it's certainly from an extremely bad breeder - think about it, if your beloved female had puppies would you want to ship them off to a pet store to sit in boxes in a busy and scary environment? Puppies should be brought up in the home, with a family and their mother to teach them boundries and socialisation. Who looks after these puppies at night? Starts the housebreaking process? Nobody.
