Have you heard of the Universal Kennel Club International? Should I register the new dog?
I am new at this purebred dog thing. The rat terrier we just rescued came with an application certificate for the Universal Kennel Club International. Being a laymen I have only heard of AKC and CKC. I checked out their website, but of course that is written by them and talks about how great they are.
Should I register this little rat terrier? I really don't intend to ever breed him; we plan to have him snipped like all of our pets. It would be kind of neat to know his lineage, but it wouldn't really mean anything to me because I wouldn't know any of the names... its not like I follow the breed or dog shows even.
whoops.. see that you don't...but I would register him wherever the parents are registered.
