so Canada has decided to lower the GST?..why is this?..do we no longer have a national debt?..?
if there is in fact STILL a national debt then why the HE-double hockey sticks are we lowering the GST?..I haven't heard anyone complain about taxes in years..saving 2% on stuff that I buy is useless..I WILL NOT even notice it..but, this will result in no doubt millions and even billions of dollars that the government will no longer be collecting..with healthcare issues and school program issues lowering taxes should be the LAST thing this government does..
it absolutely boggles my mind..
I swear at this point lowering taxes should be a reason to vote someone OUT of office..it's irresponsible and selfish (to make themselves look better)..do they think we are stupid?..
We still have a mind-bogglgingly HUGE national debt. I agree with you, only a moron would think that a 2% sales tax cut is going to be good for anyone in this country. If you think about the amount of our tax money that goes just to paying interest on the national debt, it makes you sick. I really really wish the media would show us the whole picture. We're all supposed to jump up and down, and go "whoo hoo! I can go buy a hamburger with the money I just saved on a GST reduction!" Politicians DO think we are stupid. And the sad fact is, a lot of people fall for this. They go buy their happy meal, and say a thankful prayer to the mighty Conservatives, who have allowed this glorious blessing of a hamburger to befall them.
It's time to vote for the Green Party. I am sick of these political games, and I want someone new and fresh and grassroots!
