When is the next Westminister Kennel Club dog show? I didn't even see this one advertised.
Next year in February... same as every year. Always same channel USA. Its annual. Check TorrentSpy in a few days someone probably tivoed it and put it up for download. You didnt miss anything that darn tootin Spaniel won... uggggg the corgis always get the poop end of the stick

PETA vs Westminster Dog Show?
I went on Google to find the air date for the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this year and I found an article in the LA Times: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2009/01/dog-show- fans -T.html about how PETA wants the show to be dropped due to "cosmetic surgery." I'm new PETA and all that I really do not understand some things. What "cosmetic surgery" refers to PETA? And they have a purpose? What role do these "cosmetic surgery" Dogs will play in a shelter? Not your most pressing questions could be addressed to reduce the number of race and in shelters, and how we might go about that? Since deny air time to the Westminster Kennel Club probably would not help what you can do instead? And how will this affect veterinary medicine and owners or breeders of race? Sorry so many questions, I just want someone with more knowledge of PETA to give me some opinions.
Well not always we agree with everything PETA says and does - they are a bit radical for my taste. However, his concern for animals is well intentioned. I have not read the article as it was taking forever to pull up. My guess is that they are referring to cutting off the tail of certain races or mid-cut ears. I have long felt this is a barbaric practice must stop and the AKC. I do not think the answer lies in the arrest of dog shows - just use common sense when it is the preparation of the pure breeds. The AKC has to review its policy on this for people to wise up. I sure would not like a limb or ear cut off.
