Why are so many people against the Pit Bull breed?
I have a two year old male American Pit Bull Terrier and he's the sweetest dog ever. I've had him since a pup and we've taken him to obedience school and gets along with other dogs very well. I really don't see what the big deal is about them. I think people just need to be educated and have respect for that type of breed. My Pit is a sweet baby,more like a big teddy bear! When company comes over,he rolls onto his stomach for people to pet him. He's only bitten two people since I've had him. He's bitten my dad's friend,who is a very large man,and Koodles(my pit) was afraid of him because of his size and didnt really know the man. He also bit a kid I babysat once,but Koodles was sick that day and the child kept putting his toys on top of him. I just really dont get all the "Anti-PIt Bull" or the Pit Bull haters!
I have only met a few Pit Bulls. All of them have been gentle sweethearts. The "gangsta" prejudice stamped on these dogs by a few very dangerous examples has ruined the reputation for thousands more times the amount of gentle dogs.
First you might want to get away from the label "Pit Bull" and call him an "American Staffordshire Terrier" for a while. You might confuse a few people, but in the long run it might remove some prejudice against your dog.
Two bites is two to many!
